Which format is better… audio CD & Book or VHS/DVD video?
Some of our programs come in both a DVD (or VHS) format and a CD/book format. Which one is better often depends on the student. Some people learn better by listening, others by watching and listening.

What is the difference between the VHS and the DVD programs?
Both formats share the exact same content. Please note that VHS is rapidly becoming obsolete. How much longer Rock ’N Learn will offer VHS is uncertain, but for now we still offer it. Most customers prefer DVD and the ease of menu accessible chapters.

Why are some titles available only on DVD or only on audio CD & book?
Some of our programs work best by being on one format. For example, learning states and capitals does not seem to benefit that much from a video. In contrast, Telling Time would be difficult to present without an animated video. Check our site frequently to see what new titles we have added.

Can I purchase just the book or just the CD?
You may purchase replacement books or extra books for $3 each. To order, please go to that title and click “replacement book.” In some instances, we will sell replacement CDs for $10 each, but we do those orders only by phone (see Contact Us).

How long will it take to receive my order?
We typically process orders within 24 business hours. Usually orders placed before 1 p.m. CST on a business day will be shipped that same day. Expect to receive your order within 5 to 7 business days unless you specify one-day shipping (extra charge).

What is the difference between the rap and rock programs?
The difference between rap and rock programs is primarily the musical style. We suggest you listen to samples provided on each product page to help you determine which style would be most appropriate for your child.

Do you provide gift messages?
Yes. In the comments section of the order form, just let us know the occasion and the message you would like us to include. (Our artists enjoy designing a personalized greeting card to fit the occasion.)

What is your shipping charge for international orders?
Since shipping charges vary with the weight of the package and destination, we will contact you by email before processing your order for your approval on the shipping method and charges for your order.

Can your DVDs be played by a computer or CD player?
Our DVD videos can be played on a computer with a DVD drive. They cannot be played in a CD player.

What program should I use first for reading?
We suggest starting with Alphabet, then Letter Sounds and finally Phonics. If your child already knows the alphabet, you can start with Letter Sounds.

Are your programs interactive?
No, our programs are strictly audio or video – no interactive CD ROMs. The style of our programs, however, engages learners to participate along with the program.

What age level are your products?
Each title has a recommended age level as a general guide. Many times, students younger than the specified age benefit from Rock ’N Learn programs. Likewise, older students may find our programs perfectly address their needs. By emphasizing educational music that does not sound too juvenile, we receive “success stories” from parents and teachers working with students at all ages.

Does this mean your products work with students who have special needs?
Yes, we have heard from several parents and teachers concerning students with disabilities or educational challenges ranging from mild to severe. We also hear success stories about individuals with remedial needs or those who are in adult basic education. Several customers have told us that Rock ’N Learn educational DVD and CD programs hold the hold attention of students significantly better than other approaches. For example, we frequently hear that our educational videos (DVD or VHS) seem to work particularly well for those students affected by some form of autism.

Are you a retail store?
No, we are not a retail store, but you may order with confidence from our secure online store. We also encourage customers to visit their local school supply stores and request Rock ’N Learn.

Do you accept purchase orders (PO’s) from school districts?

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We accept checks with orders through the mail. Sorry we cannot process checks by phone.

Do you charge sales tax?
Only for residents of the State of Texas – we add 8.25% for sales tax.

What is the format of your DVD and VHS videos?
Rock ’N Learn DVD and VHS videos are in the NTSC format (used in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and several other countries). Australia and most European countries use PAL for their formatting. Our DVDs are not coded for any specific region, so they will work in any player that uses NTSC.

Can I copy your products?
You may photocopy Rock ’N Learn books for classroom or instructional, noncommercial use. Our educational CDs, DVDs & VHS products are copyright protected and may not be reproduced for any reason.

Do you offer discount for teachers/home-schooler’s/multi piece orders?
Generally, no. For special circumstances, please contact your local school supply retailer or call our main office to discuss what you have in mind.

Is it still possible to get cassettes for the audio programs?
